Hurricane Dorian Relief
In the wake of Hurricane Dorian, LeBlanc would like to donate 100% of profits from a select number of pieces from the Ray collection to hurricane relief funds in the Bahamas. The fundraiser will begin on the 1st of October, lasting through to the 31st of October.
Nicole and Lian LeBlanc were raised on Grand Bahama Island, part of the northern area in the Bahamas devastated by Hurricane Dorian. LeBlanc was founded in 2018, inspired by the natural beauty of the islands. Their debut collection, “RAY” is inspired by the Batoidea family, looking at the various types of rays and their distinctive features. The animal’s calm nature and excellent navigation skills are symbolic of direction and resilience.
During this incredibly difficult time in the Bahamas, the founders Nicole and Lian LeBlanc hope to raise enough funds to contribute to families in need throughout the vibrant community in Grand Bahama. Through the sales of select pieces of the Ray collection, LeBlanc would like to donate to the Rotary Club- an international organisation that provides humanitarian service to advance world peace.
Since 1933, the Rotary has brought relief to victims of hurricanes and earthquakes all over the world. The Rotary Grand Bahama is part of the Rotary District 6990. The district has a non-profit fund called the Robbins fund to aid in disaster recovery efforts in the region.
The Rotary club are currently delivering food, toiletries and medical supplies for immediate needs and they are working towards rebuilding the community with larger items (generators, buses, building supplies) to rebuild homes, and create long term solutions.
